Plaza de Toros – Sevilla, España

A few expat friends of mine – one living in Sevilla and the other in Madrid – have recently written posts on the subject of bullfights in Spain (click on the city names to link to their respective posts).  Their recent entries compelled me to dig up my own post on the topic (found here) and reminisce about my time in Sevilla. This photograph was taken on a cold February night in 2011. This is one of the entrances to the bloody spectacle. Perhaps the inscription made famous by Dante would be more appropriate above the archway: lasciate ogne speranza voi ch’intrate.
